Friday

(the coronavirus clown)

You've heard of 'window shopping'? Well, this is 'window theatre'....

Friday is not enjoying isolation. She gets a bit lonely and sad, especially on Fridays, her favourite day.

So every Friday, she goes to see her friends in Hazelmoor Fold (Blackley) to remind them that fun is never far away!

2pm, every Friday! (or as long as it's advisable)

(Just for the residents of Hazelmoor Fold. Please stay indoors or in your gardens. Let's help each other to stay safe.)

Family fun with Friday...

Friday #1 (27.3)

Pack up your troubles

This week we saw Friday desperately trying to pack up her things, without much success!

The music that was playing is a well-known song called 'Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag', a song that became very popular at another time in history when the world was in crisis.

Discover: Can you find out about the history of the song 'Pack up your troubles'?

Create: These are the original lyrics to 'Pack up your troubles'. Can you re-write them for coronavirus to make people 'smile, smile, smile'?

Pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag

And smile, smile, smile.

While you've a lucifer to light your fag,

Smile, boys, that's the style!

What's the use in worrying?

It never was worthwhile.

So pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag

And smile, smile, smile.

Compete: Friday spent a lot of time folding her clothes. Does your house have a big pile of clean laundry? Or maybe your bedroom floor is covered in clothes. Give everyone a pile each and see who can fold their pile the quickest!

Challenge: Can you fill a bag with 5 toys or items of clothing to give away to other people? Keep the bag somewhere safe and then take it to the charity shop after isolation.

Want to show Friday what you've been up to? She'd love to see!

Send her your messages, photos and videos and she might just reply!
